Viver é uma tentativa de amarrá-los, tanto quanto o é a escritura – esta forma de ordenar, com palavras, o que vigora desconexo. Murilo M., o protagonista de Amarração, é um exemplo do sujeito contemporâneo, que se subtrai e se alarga incessantemente, ao enfrentar, por meio das relações amorosas, a sua inescapável incompletude.
Escrito em fragmentos, o romance plasma a forma do indivíduo partido, e, em cada um dos trechos, Murilo, não por acaso um ensaísta, narra – para depois refletir sobre elas – as suas experiências afetivas com distintas mulheres. O seu modo de subir um degrau na existência, recuperar partes de sua essência e, finalmente, atá-las, se dá numa alternância entre a pureza e o sexo com Glória, Amanda, Juliana, Virgínia e Sol. Como o vício de Murilo M. é seduzir mulheres, a bússola de seu desejo gira alucinada.
O registro de seus encontros oscila do pensamento mundano à prosa metafísica, do ridículo (que todos somos quando apaixonados, como escreveu Pessoa) ao sublime (que seremos se lograrmos reunir os nossos estilhaços). Perturbadora é a cena em que ele, em consulta a uma mãe-de-santo, descobre que, embora seja o caçador, alguém (só saberemos quem mais adiante) fez uma “amarração” para enredá-lo, e ali mesmo, com um “trabalho” de umbanda, tenta desfazê-la.
Neste romance de estreia, Renato Rezende, que já se firmava em Ímpar e Noiva como um poeta singular, flagra o abismo de um ser solitário em ascensão através do outro. E espalha com engenho e arte retalhos narrativos de uma história que você, leitor, vai ter o prazer de costurar.
